Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Policy Communication, has declared that a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Peter Obi, would never become president of Nigeria.
Bwala said Obi lacks the characteristics required of a Nigerian president.
Speaking on News Central TV’s 60 Minutes with Mr Kay on Friday, Bwala stated that Obi would not make it to the Presidential Villa, insisting that anyone aspiring to lead the country must possess clear qualities.
He said such a person must be visionary, deeply rooted at the grassroots in an organic manner, and sincere in character, adding that Obi does not meet these expectations.
The presidential aide also noted that the former Anambra State governor lacks genuine grassroots support.
Bwala further accused Obi of promoting what he described as a misleading narrative to the Christian community during the administration of late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
He alleged that Obi leveraged claims of marginalisation of the church to mobilise support among religious leaders, stressing that such backing does not amount to true grassroots support.
