Popular Nigerian social media critic, VeryDarkMan (VDM), has issued a strong warning to human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, vowing to take legal action if his image is used without permission.
In a video posted on his official Instagram page, VDM directly addressed Sowore, accusing him of not supporting him and warning him against engaging in actions similar to those that recently led to legal issues for businessman Blord.
VDM warned Sowore not to use his image on billboards or for promotional purposes without prior approval, stressing that any such action would result in legal consequences, including possible imprisonment.
According to report, Blord was remanded on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, over allegations of impersonating VeryDarkMan, forgery, false endorsement, breach of privacy, and identity theft, among other charges.
In a related development, Sowore reacted to the situation, stating that sending Blord to prison over what he described as an “innovative strategy” and the expertise of VeryDarkMan’s legal team should not be seen as a victory.
