There was an uproar on social media on Tuesday night as a renowned Yoruba poet, Akanda Oro Awinkoko posted on his official Facebook handle that Olaiyomi Koiki, spokesman of popular Yoruba warlord, Sunday Igboho has been suspended, AMILOADED reports.
In a video he posted, he said: “As at now, all Yoruba nation agitators said that Olaiyomi Koiki is no longer spokesman of Sunday Igboho.”

As a result, this has generated to mixed reactions from Nigerians especially the Yorubas.
While others felt that there is lack of unity between Akanda and Koiki, some felt the issue should be resolved offline and not online.
However, not more than two hours after Akanda announced the suspension of Koiki, the embattled spokesman took to his official Facebook handle to react.
While reacting in a video posted on his official Facebook handle, he said: “As the spokesman, Chief Sunday Igboho has advised all Yorubas that whatever any rumour you must have heard anywhere is not true. He has also informed me to tell you that I (Olaiyomi Koiki) remains his spokesman.”
