The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Elijah Ayodele, has cautioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu against being complacent over his second-term ambition.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, the cleric described the president’s re-election prospects as uncertain, warning that individuals around him had allegedly misled him and hindered his awareness of looming challenges.
Ayodele stressed that the issues of insecurity and the economy require urgent divine intervention, noting that the country’s economic situation remains weak.
He further alleged that the president is surrounded by individuals who are not sincere, claiming that many of those praising him are, in reality, deceptive and contributing to a false sense of stability.
The cleric maintained that although the president has the potential to secure a second term, certain factors, including misinformation from close associates, could create significant obstacles before and after the election.
He also warned that some political figures aligning with the president’s party may not be genuinely supportive, alleging that their actions could lead to complications in the future.
Ayodele identified the North and South-East regions as potential areas of concern for the president, expressing doubts about whether the challenges in those zones could be effectively addressed.
He urged Nigerians to seek divine guidance ahead of the 2027 general elections to ensure a peaceful and successful process.
