The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru, has announced the death of his mother, Alhaja Sidikat Abake Basiru.
Basiru made the announcement in a heartfelt message posted on his social media pages on Sunday, where he thanked Allah for granting his mother a life devoted to faith and service to humanity.
He reflected on her love, sacrifices and unwavering support, saying they played a significant role in shaping the lives of her children. While expressing his grief, the APC National Secretary accepted her passing as the will of Allah and prayed for the forgiveness of her sins and for her to be granted Aljannatul Firdaus.
The former Senate spokesman also paid tribute to his late mother, describing her as a caring and selfless woman whose life was dedicated to the service of God and the wellbeing of her family.
He wrote, “Alhamdulilah for a life well spent in devotion to Allah and service to humanity!
“I will always remember your love and the sacrifice to enable us be who Allah destined us to be.
“I love you Maami but I accept that we belong to Allah and to Him we shall all return someday!
“May ALLAH forgive you and grant you Aljanna Firdaus”
