Convicted Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has advised his male colleagues to exercise caution when interacting with female fans.
Speaking on routine public encounters such as photo requests and casual greetings, Baba Ijesha stressed the importance of confirming the age of female admirers before engaging with them.
According to him, male entertainers should first ascertain whether a female fan is an adult before proceeding with any interaction.
He explained that taking such precautions could help celebrities avoid legal troubles, particularly allegations relating to sexual assault or harassment.
Omiyinka noted that verifying a person’s age before engaging with them is a necessary step for public figures who regularly interact with fans.
He said, “Anytime a female fan approaches you, the first step should be to ask if she is an adult,” Omiyinka advised. He noted that this precautionary measure is vital to ensuring male celebrities do not inadvertently entangle themselves in legal issues related to sexual assault or harassment.”
Baba Ijesha regained freedom after serving a prison sentence following his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor.
