The gubernatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, for the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State, Mrs Yemisi Adeagbo, has called on electorates to back her vision for the state.
Adeagbo, who is a retired school principal, said her background in education and public service positions her to deliver more for the people of Osun, noting that the major political parties have failed to live up to expectations.
The ADP gubernatorial candidate, who stated this in a statement on Wednesday, said healthcare and agriculture will be top priorities if elected.
She stressed that improving access to affordable medical care and boosting food production are key to sustainable development.
Education also featured prominently in her agenda, noting that her background as a retired school principal gives her insight into the challenges facing teachers and students in the state.
She also promised to ensure empowerment for the youths and women, improve infrastructure, and inclusion of traditional rulers in the affairs of the state.
“I am calling on the electorate to support my candidacy in the collective pursuit of good governance, inclusive leadership, accountability and sustainable development,” she stated.
Adeagbo, while acknowledging the efforts of the current government, promised improved results if elected on August 15.
“The past and present administrations in the state have done their best, but I can do much better, and I am assuring Osun people of accelerated development across all sectors,” she stated.
The ADP candidate said her administration will also prioritise accountability and inclusive governance, promising that every local government in Osun will feel the impact of her policies through direct intervention projects.
