The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced a change in the orientation schedule for prospective corps members posted to Enugu State and Osun State for the 2026 Batch A Stream II exercise.
In a statement issued on Monday by the scheme’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the orientation course for the affected states will now commence on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and conclude on Monday, May 18, 2026.
Embu explained that the adjustment in date is due to the ongoing extensive renovation of orientation camps by the respective state governments.
She noted that the development necessitated a slight shift in the timetable to ensure that facilities are in proper condition before the arrival of corps members.
The NYSC further clarified that the change only applies to Enugu and Osun states, while the schedule for other states remains unchanged.
According to the scheme, orientation exercises for all other states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will still hold from Wednesday, April 22, 2026, to Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
The corps also urged all prospective corps members affected by the adjustment to take note of the revised dates and comply accordingly.
It reiterated its commitment to providing a conducive environment for the orientation programme across the country.
The scheme had earlier issued call-up letters to prospective corps members participating in the 2026 Batch A Stream II exercise.
