Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, has urged the National Leader of the Nafiu Gombe-led faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and House of Representatives member, Leke Abejide, to continue actions that deepen divisions within the party.
Gbajabiamila, who spoke during a birthday ceremony organised by the lawmaker, lauded Abejide for what he described as a commendable role that aligns with the interests of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Chief of Staff urged the lawmaker to ignore calls from APC members inviting him to join the ruling party.
He advised Abejide to remain in the ADC and continue his political activities within the party, noting that his current position benefits the APC, while also wishing him success in his political and legal engagements.
He said, “Don’t come to APC. Stay in ADC and scatter them. We like what you’re doing. Don’t mind former governor Yahaya Bello, who said you should join APC.
“No, no, no, stay in ADC and win your election. Also, bring Bala Gombe, and we’ll support him. Good luck in court”
According to reports, the ADC has been battling internal crises, splitting the party into two factions.
