Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi Oke has opened up about her battle with a health challenge, revealing that she spent as much as N800,000 monthly on drugs during the period.
The actress made this known during an interview on African A List, where she recounted the difficult period and the support she received from MC Oluomo and some of her colleagues.

Speaking about the financial burden of her treatment, Ronke said the monthly cost of purchasing drugs was overwhelming.

Ronke also recounted the unexpected support she received from fellow actress Sotayo, despite their long-standing disagreement.
According to her, she and Sotayo had not spoken for about five or six years following a disagreement, but Sotayo sent her N150,000 after learning that she was ill.
Ronke said the gesture came despite the fact that she and Sotayo had not been in contact for several years.
When asked whether Sotayo had called her since then, Ronke said they still did not speak whenever they met at social gatherings.
She said they would bypass each other without greeting when they met at parties.
Ronke also revealed that she joined the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) during the period she was seriously ill.
She stressed that the decision was personal and said she did not condemn other religions.
