Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Igboho, has issued a warning to Yoruba individuals allegedly collaborating with kidnapping gangs operating in the South-West.
Igboho said any Yoruba person found working with Fulani groups to abduct residents would face severe consequences.
He made the remarks at the palace of the Chief of Igboho in Oorelope Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The activist alleged that some Yoruba indigenes were aiding criminal gangs involved in the abduction of their fellow kinsmen.
According to him, intelligence available to him indicated that certain Yoruba individuals were collaborating with Fulani groups in kidnapping activities and providing support for their operations.
Igboho declared that any Yoruba person found conniving with Fulani kidnappers deserved the death penalty, insisting that such individuals were betraying their communities.
He further warned that any indigene of Igboho involved in supporting kidnapping activities would face grave consequences.
The warning came as Igboho reportedly gave members of the Fulani community in his hometown a two-hour ultimatum to secure the release of a pregnant woman and her sibling who were allegedly kidnapped over the weekend.
