A former member of the House of Representatives who represented Boluwaduro/Ila/Ifedayo Federal Constituency, Hon. Ismaila Kolawole, has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Kolawole announced his resignation in a letter dated June 7, 2026, and addressed to the APC Chairman of Iperin/Eyinde Ward 10 in Ila-Orangun, Osun State.
In the letter, the former federal lawmaker formally notified the party of his decision to quit the APC.
According to the resignation letter, Kolawole said his decision was informed by the need for personal peace, inner rest of mind, and self-respect.
The letter reads in part: “I hereby write to resign my membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for personal peace, inner mind rest and self-respect.”
The development adds to the recent wave of resignations recorded within the Osun APC ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election in the state.
