Fuji music star Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1 or K1 De Ultimate, has stirred reactions on social media after a viral video showed him singing about “unnecessary pregnancy” during a stage performance, days after a woman accused him of abandoning her and their 12-year-old daughter.
The controversy followed a recent interview granted by Ogechi Eleana to Feel Right TV, in which she alleged that the singer failed to accept responsibility for their daughter, Azeezat.
Eleana, a graduate of Lagos State University, said she worked as KWAM 1’s manicurist and pedicurist before they became romantically involved.
She alleged that their relationship lasted for more than seven years and resulted in the birth of Azeezat.
According to Eleana, after informing the Fuji musician about the pregnancy, he allegedly advised her to terminate it and promised to send money through one of his aides for the abortion.
She claimed the money was never sent and that after she decided to keep the pregnancy, the singer stopped communicating with her.
Eleana further alleged that she later sought the intervention of the late Kabiru Agbabiaka, who contacted KWAM 1 on her behalf while they were at a palace, but the singer allegedly denied the claims made against him.
She also claimed she later met the singer’s late mother, who became emotional after seeing the child and remarked that the girl bore a striking resemblance to her.
During the interview, Azeezat said she last saw the Fuji musician on July 30, 2025, in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, where she alleged he denied knowing them.
She appealed to the singer to assist her financially, saying she had been told her father was wealthy and expressing frustration over her current situation.
Meanwhile, KWAM 1 made the remarks during a performance at the 10th coronation anniversary of the Onikate of Ikate, Oba Lateef Adams, in a video that has since gone viral on social media.
Although the performance came shortly after the allegations surfaced, the singer did not state that the song was directed at Eleana or the paternity claims.
While performing, he asked members of the audience to turn on their Bluetooth devices and visit TikTok and Facebook before singing that anyone with an unnecessary pregnancy was like a giveaway.
He also jokingly appealed to the audience not to get him into trouble by sharing the performance on TikTok.
KWAM 1, however, did not directly respond to the paternity allegation or the claim that he abandoned Eleana and their daughter.
