David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has recounted how an abducted pastor of the church was released after he spoke with the kidnappers.
Speaking during a sermon in a viral video, Oyedepo said he issued a 24-hour ultimatum to the abductors when they called to demand ransom.
He said that at one time, a pastor of the church was kidnapped, and when the kidnappers called, he took the phone and told them that if the victim was not released within 24 hours, they would be dead.
According to Oyedepo, after the conversation, the environment around the abductors became tense and the victim was released immediately.
He urged members to give kidnappers his phone number whenever they are abducted.
He stated that if anyone is kidnapped, they should give the abductors his number, adding that if the kidnappers are not brought down, then he was not sent, stressing that members carry the same force if they discover it.
Oyedepo also recalled how a female member of the church was kidnapped but later freed after speaking to her abductors.
He added that the woman told the kidnappers she would be released by 7 a.m., after which they reportedly began harming themselves, leading to her release.
