Afrobeats star Asake has revealed that his quiet personality contributed to his unmarried status, despite his rising success in the music industry.
In an interview with Korty EO, the singer explained that he is an introvert who doesn’t socialise easily, which has affected his relationships.
Asake stated that starting a family is something he thinks about often, but he believes his life is guided by God and marriage will happen at the right time.
He emphasised the importance of patience in matters of love and marriage, trusting that things will fall into place when the time is right.
He stated that he plans to build a family by the grace of God and thinks about it daily, noting that his introverted nature limits his social interactions. He added that he believes he will meet his wife at the appointed time, stressing that life’s path is already determined by God. He further noted that it is important not to rush into marriage, as no one fully understands God’s ways or what the future holds.
Asake added that he is focused on his music career, with his mother being the closest woman in his life.
He stated that, for now, his mother remains the closest person to him, adding that he will get married when the time is right according to God’s plan, while he continues to focus on his current journey.
Singer Asake has recalled the challenges he faced in 2020, describing it as a pivotal year that humbled him.
He explained that the year 2020 was a difficult period that humbled him significantly, likening it to a situation where something good is given and later taken away. He noted that he later realised it was part of a process of growth and development, even though he did not understand it at the time.
He also stated that before travelling, he had always desired to visit Los Angeles and had shared his intention with friends. He added that upon arriving in California, he decided to fully embrace the opportunity and pursue his dreams without hesitation.
