The Osun State governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olaitan Adeniyi, has offered prayers to Muslim faithful as Ramadan comes to an end.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Adeniyi prayed for the successful completion and acceptance of the fasting period, urging that acts of worship and sacrifices made during the holy month be rewarded.
He also sought forgiveness for shortcomings and prayed for mercy for all faithful.
The SDP candidate further prayed for peace of mind, strengthened faith, and answered supplications for Muslims in Osun State and beyond.
He expressed hope for increased blessings, success, and relief for the people as they conclude the Ramadan fast.
Adeniyi added that the period should leave believers spiritually renewed and positively transformed.
Part of the statement reads, “On this 30th day of Ramadan, I pray that Allah, in His infinite mercy, brings our journey in this blessed month to a beautiful and accepted completion. May He accept our fasting, prayers, and sincere intentions, and forgive all our shortcomings—both seen and unseen.
“As Ramadan draws to a close, may Allah answer our deepest supplications, grant us peace of heart, and strengthen our faith. May He bless our efforts, increase us in goodness, and open for us doors of success, relief, and lasting happiness.
“May we be among those who leave this Ramadan purified, elevated, and abundantly rewarded in this life and in the Hereafter.”
