Nigerian media personality, Daddy Freeze, has stated that people do not need to serve or worship God to become rich.
Daddy Freeze stated this during an Instagram Live video on Wednesday night while reacting to TikToker Peller’s remarks at Pastor Tobi Adegboyega’s church in the United Kingdom.
According to a DailyPost report, Peller had explained that while others were praying at night, he was sleeping at home, yet God decided to bless him.
Reacting to Peller’s comment, Daddy Freeze said wealth does not necessarily depend on religious beliefs.
He noted that people do not have to acknowledge God to become rich, questioning why many committed Christians remain among the poorest people.
Daddy Freeze said connecting worshipping God with wealth undermines the sacrifice of biblical Stephen and creates the belief that praying to God automatically leads to financial prosperity.
He argued that if God gave people money, the world’s 10 richest people would have been born-again Christians.
The media personality also criticised the idea that money comes from religious devotion, saying his parents prayed to God but did not become wealthy.
He maintained that people could become rich regardless of their religious beliefs, adding that wealth comes from creating value.
Daddy Freeze said a person could reject the existence of God and still become rich without acknowledging Him.
