Afrobeats star, Davido, has revealed that he will soon leave music to focus on making billions.
He made the disclosure while responding to a post by Nigerian rapper, Erigga, on X.
Erigga had praised musicians who did not come from wealthy families and had to work for every dollar they earned.
Davido disagreed with the message, arguing that musicians from wealthy families could also work hard to reach the top.
He said those who came from family money could still grind their way to success, while describing Erigga’s message as “useless motivation” and calling him an “imbecile.”
The singer further disclosed that he would soon leave music to pursue his financial goals, saying he intended to make his billions before eventually finding music boring.
Davido ended the exchange by questioning whether people genuinely want to live in poverty.
