The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially presented the Certificate of Return to Governor Ademola Adeleke and his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, following their victory in the August 15 Osun State governorship election.
The presentation took place at the INEC State Headquarters in Osogbo on Wednesday, formalising Adeleke’s re-election for a second term in office.
Recall that Adeleke, the Accord candidate, polled 511,067 votes to defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who secured 444,815 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate, Najeem Salaam, came third with 17,180 votes.
