An emotional scene unfolded after the kidnapped Oyo school principal, Mrs. Alamu, regained her freedom alongside other abducted victims.
The release of the school principal, teachers and pupils came nearly two months after they were abducted during the May 15 attack on Ahoro-Esiele community in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
A video that surfaced after their rescue showed Mrs. Alamu asking about the whereabouts of her husband and her car shortly after regaining her freedom, highlighting the emotional impact of her ordeal.
In the footage, soldiers were seen comforting her and assuring her that everything was under control.
The victims were rescued after spending several weeks in captivity.
The video has since drawn emotional reactions from Nigerians, with many expressing gratitude over the victims’ safe return while offering prayers and support for their recovery.
