A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Falilat Yusuf, popularly known as Ero-Arike, has responded to calls for a boycott of her products, saying she has other sources of income and investments.
Ero-Arike spoke in a viral video sighted Online, where she showcased some of her properties and business investments while defending her means of livelihood.
She said she had spent years building her businesses and would not go hungry if she stopped selling her herbal balm.
Ero-Arike also disclosed that she had built 16 houses for students in Iragbiji, Osun State, which she said were available for rent.
She questioned whether stopping the sale of her products would affect her ability to survive, considering the other investments she had made.
The herbal practitioner also showed a school building she said she was constructing as part of her efforts to support people in her community.
She said she planned to install solar power and provide water at the facility to ensure that students would have access to electricity and clean water while studying.
Ero-Arike further displayed what she described as her registered business premises and a truck belonging to her business.
She said her business interests went beyond the sale of her herbal balm, adding that she also had farms and other investments.
She said she had seven farms in Ore and described herself as a hardworking woman.
The APC chieftain also spoke about people who depend on the sale of her products for their livelihood, particularly widows and other vendors.
She said an attempt to stop the sale of her products could have a greater impact on the people who sell them than on her personally.
Ero-Arike also defended the effectiveness of her herbal products, claiming that she had remedies for different ailments and promising to refund customers whose products did not work.
She said she had been known for about 31 years and maintained that her reputation had remained intact.
She further spoke about the political influence of APC governorship candidate in the Osun election, Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, saying he secured significant votes despite not having previously contested an election.
