A man believed to be a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday staged a protest at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, demanding compensation for his role in the 2023 election campaigns.
The protester, dressed in an APC-branded blue shirt, held a placard with the inscription “Reward me or kill me,” alleging that he had been abandoned by the party after making personal sacrifices, including selling his house.
He further claimed that his financial situation had deteriorated to the point where he could no longer afford his children’s school fees, forcing him to leave them in the care of the party’s Chief Security Officer (CSO).
The incident was captured in a video that surfaced on Facebook on Thursday night and later gained traction on X after being shared by user @dammiedammie35.
In the video, the man was seen pacing in front of the secretariat, displaying his placard and loudly expressing his grievances, while security personnel monitored the situation and onlookers recorded the scene.
He stated that he sold his house due to debts incurred while working for the APC during the election period, adding that his involvement in the party’s activities led to his current predicament.
When questioned by bystanders about who mobilised him, the protester pointed to his APC-branded shirt as evidence of his affiliation with the party.

He maintained that his sacrifices were tied to the APC’s 2023 general election efforts, noting that he received no compensation afterward.
The protester also alleged that instead of being rewarded, he was threatened by the party’s Chief Security Officer, who he claimed warned that he could be shot without consequences.
He further revealed that he no longer knew the whereabouts of his children after leaving them at the party secretariat due to his inability to care for them.
He said he had abandoned his children at the APC office because he could no longer provide for them or pay their school fees.
The placard he carried described him as a loyal party member who had suffered significant personal losses, stating that he was depressed and that his health had been affected.
No official of the APC was seen addressing the protester during the demonstration, according to the video footage.
