Nollywood actress and producer, Laide Bakare, has announced that she will soon be getting married for the third time.
In a recent interview with content creator Akin Abolade, the actress revealed that the forthcoming union would be her first “official” marriage, despite having been married twice in the past.
Bakare explained that although she had previous marital experiences, she does not consider them as formal as what she is planning now, stressing that the upcoming wedding holds significant importance for her.
She also disclosed that preparations for the ceremony are already in progress, indicating that arrangements are being put in place ahead of the big day.
However, the actress did not reveal the date of the wedding or the identity of her fiancé, leaving fans and followers in anticipation.
Laide Bakare was previously married to a United States-based businessman, Olumide Okufulure, and the union produced a daughter named Simi before they parted ways.
She later remarried Alhaji Mutairu Atanda Orilowo in 2012, and their marriage produced two sons.
The second marriage, however, ended after Orilowo was reportedly declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2014 over alleged fraudulent activities.
In an earlier interview on the Real Life With Aunty Ayo podcast, the actress had stated that she remains open to marriage, noting that she could marry as many as five times if previous relationships do not work out.
