Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is scheduled to address journalists and citizens on Wednesday on security, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other issues relating to the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
According to an invitation released on Tuesday, the press conference will hold by 11 a.m. at Imole House, Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo.
Confirming the event in a post on his X account, Davido said the briefing would focus on security, INEC and transparency issues ahead of the governorship poll.
The singer, who was recently appointed Chairman of the Imole Youth Mobilisation Committee for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election campaign, is expected to speak on electoral transparency, security and other major developments ahead of Saturday’s election.
The invitation described the event as a briefing on security, INEC transparency and other key issues surrounding the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party is seeking a second term in the August 15 governorship election. Davido, who is the governor’s nephew, has been actively involved in the campaign, leading youth mobilisation efforts and participating in political activities across the state.
