President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his victory in the 2026 Osun State governorship election, even before the final declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The congratulatory message was conveyed through a phone call, according to the Imole Campaign Council spokesperson, Pelumi Olajengbesi.
Olajengbesi disclosed this while speaking with journalists at the INEC collation centre, where he served as the Accord Party’s state agent.
He said President Tinubu called Adeleke to congratulate him on his victory while the collation of results was still ongoing.
AMILOADED had earlier reported that the incumbent Governor of Osun State and candidate of the Accord Party, Ademola Adeleke, has won the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
Adeleke was declared the winner by the Returning Officer, the Vice-Chancellor Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Prof Joshua Ogunwole Olalekan for the election on Sunday after the completion of the collation of results from the 30 local government areas of the state.
The declaration followed the collation of results from across the state, with Adeleke emerging with 511,067votes ahead of his closest challengers, Bola Oyebamiji with 444,816 votes.
The result gives Adeleke another mandate to govern Osun State for the next term.
