The Police Service Commission (PSC) has released the names of successful applicants for the recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force.
The Commission announced this in a statement issued on Wednesday, saying the release followed the successful conclusion of a comprehensive, inclusive, equitable and transparent recruitment exercise conducted in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, State Career and Counselling Departments and the Police Community Relations Committee.
According to the PSC, candidates who participated in the recently concluded written examination are to log on to the official recruitment portal, npfapplication.psc.gov.ng, to check their recruitment status.
The Commission stated that the portal would be opened by 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
It added that successful applicants would also receive email and SMS notifications through the email addresses and phone numbers provided during the application process.
The statement said successful candidates are expected to report to their designated Police Training Institutions on dates and times to be communicated later for medical examination and documentation.
It warned that candidates who fail to report within the stipulated period would be deemed to have declined the offer, while those who fail the medical examination to be conducted by the Police Medical Team upon resumption of training would be declared unfit and required to leave the training.
The Commission advised candidates to report with their training call-up slip, National Identification Number (NIN) slip, Bank Verification Number (BVN) slip, original and photocopies of their certificates, as well as other required documents and items to be listed on the recruitment portal.
The Chairman of the Commission, retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police Hashimu Salihu Argungu, thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables as part of efforts to strengthen the country’s security architecture.
Argungu urged the successful applicants to regard the opportunity as a call to serve the nation with dignity, integrity and commitment to a safe and secure Nigeria.
