Veteran Nigerian actor and theatre icon, Kola Oyewo, has passed away, AMILOADED reports.
The news of his death was announced on Friday by actor and filmmaker, Kunle Afod, through a post shared on his official Instagram page.
Afod, in the post, described Oyewo as a “true legend” whose contributions to the Nigerian theatre and film industry would remain unforgettable.
According to him, the late actor’s remarkable talent, timeless performances and immense impact on the entertainment industry would continue to inspire future generations.
He further paid tribute to the deceased, praying for his peaceful rest and noting that his works would continue to live on.
Kola Oyewo was widely respected for his outstanding roles in stage productions, television dramas and movies, earning recognition as one of the notable figures in Nigeria’s theatre and film industry.
