Popular Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo has reportedly died at the age of 40.
News of his death surfaced on Tuesday, with some of his colleagues in the Nigerian film industry mourning him on social media.
Actress Funke Akindele expressed shock over the development, revealing that she had tried to reach him before learning about his death. She described the late actor as a cherished friend and said she would always remember the moments they shared together.
Actor Bolanle Ninalowo also reacted to the news, praying for strength and healing for Ekubo’s family and loved ones during the difficult period.
Another actor, Godwin Nnadiekwe, said the news left him heartbroken and struggling for words. He described Ekubo as a rare personality in Nollywood and lamented that his death came unexpectedly.
