Osun West Senatorial aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Peter Taiwo Ogundeji (APATA) , has inaugurated 295 polling unit coordinators in Ayiwola Federal Constituency to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
The inauguration, held in Iwo on Saturday April 25, 2026, covered Ayedire, Iwo, and Ola-Oluwa Local Government Areas, with party members and supporters in attendance.
Ogundeji said the exercise was aimed at mobilising party supporters at the grassroots level and intensifying door-to-door campaigns for the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.
He explained that the newly inaugurated coordinators had been mandated to begin immediate engagement with voters across their respective polling units to ensure effective campaign outreach.
According to him, the move was part of efforts to complement the party’s overall campaign strategy and secure victory for the APC in the forthcoming election.
The senatorial aspirant added that the coordinators were expected to take ownership of the campaign activities in their areas and work collectively towards achieving success for the party.
Ogundeji also announced the donation of 25,000 campaign posters to support Oyebamiji’s governorship bid, noting that over 6,000 had already been distributed within the federal constituency for immediate use.
According to him, “The essence of it is to commission them to begin door-to-door campaigns for our boss, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, for the upcoming gubernatorial election scheduled for August 15, 2026. We have commissioned them to start the door-to-door campaign. At the same time, we produced 25,000 posters and have dispatched more than 6,000 to the federal constituency here.”
He said the posters would be circulated across communities to boost visibility and reinforce the campaign message as the party prepares to commence its full campaign in the coming days.
The APC chieftain assured the coordinators of continued support, stating that their welfare and contributions would be recognised as the campaign progresses.
Ogundeji said, “We want to advise the inaugurated coordinators to see this work as their own project, because this is our party, APC. Our party is a great party, and we believe that if we work collectively, we can achieve a lot. We also believe that when we work together and our party becomes victorious, it will benefit all of us. All the units will benefit from it.
“By the grace of God, having commissioned our people under APATA for AMBO movement, we have promised them that we will stand by them at all times, come rain or shine, and ensure that they receive the benefits they deserve.”
Amiloaded recalls that Ogundeji has been mobilising support for Oyebamiji through empowerment programmes and “work-to-win” initiatives held across the Osun West Senatorial District.
