Senato Lere Oyewumi has been appointed as the Director-General of a newly constituted Campaign Council for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election.
It was gathered on Tuesday that the Senate Deputy Minority Leader will head the council ahead of upcoming Osun State governorship election schedule for August 15, 2026.
According to report, Kolapo Alimi, the State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, was named as the Deputy Director-General of the council.
The appointment also named Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi as the Spokesperson of the Campaign Council.
The development is expected to shape the communication and coordination strategy of the campaign structure in the build-up to the election.
