A Nigerian man has cautioned people against providing free services to wealthy individuals in the hope of gaining access, favour, or future opportunities.
In a widely circulated social media video, he described the practice as a serious mistake that often leads to exploitation.
The man explained that many rich people can quickly recognise when someone is offering unpaid work to build a connection or gain favour.
He stated that once the wealthy person realises the intention, they will continue to use the individual repeatedly without offering proper payment or respect.
The man stressed that people should always place value on their work and insist on receiving full compensation for any service rendered, regardless of the client’s status.
He added that attempting to impress or please rich people solely to obtain their contact or association is usually pointless.
The man further pointed out that genuine respect and repeat business come when clients see that a person stands firm on the worth of their services and does not accept free labour.
