Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has sparked reactions online after a video showing him joking with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, over the outcome of the Osun State governorship election surfaced.
In the 16-second video, Davido was heard telling Wike that he had defeated the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the election.
“But I won. I beat you guys,” Davido told Wike while accompanying his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, to the minister’s residence in Abuja.
Wike responded jokingly that he would collect Adeleke’s Certificate of Return, prompting laughter among those present.
Adeleke had visited Wike shortly after a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja.
