Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has called for unity in the state after collecting his Certificate of Return, declaring that he has forgiven those who offended him and urging them to work together.
Adeleke said he is the governor of all residents of Osun State, regardless of political affiliation, and called on those who had differences with him to put the past behind them.
He said, “I’ve told you before, I’m the governor of all. Whatever that has happened before, let it be bygone. All the people who offended me, I forgive them, let’s all work together. Osun state will never see darkness again.”
His comments have attracted positive reactions from some Nigerians on X, with several users praising the governor for what they described as a message of forgiveness and unity.
Recall that Adeleke the Accord Candidate polled 511,067 votes to defeat All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji who polled 444,815 votes, and African Democratic Congress Candidate Najeem Salaam who came distant third with 17,180 votes
