The Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, governorship candidate in the forthcoming election in Osun State, Engr. John Olufemi Adesuyi, has urged voters to reject both the ruling Accord Party and the major opposition All Progressives Congress in the poll.
Adesuyi, in a statement he personally signed, a copy of which was obtained in Osogbo, said the two parties have had opportunities to shape the affairs of the state but failed to deliver responsible leadership and sustainable development.
He described the forthcoming poll as an opportunity for the electorate to choose a new direction.
The ZLP candidate said the 2026 governorship election is not a contest between APC and Accord, but a defining moment for the people of Osun to vote for accountability, transparency, and genuine development.
“Both parties have failed the people through years of poor governance and mismanagement of the state’s resources. This is not the time to recycle failed leadership. Osun people deserve a credible alternative,” Adesuyi noted.
He listed his priorities, if elected, to include quality education, healthcare, youth and women empowerment, infrastructure, industrialisation, agriculture, job creation, and prudent management of public resources.
Adesuyi added that a ZLP government would promote inclusive governance and citizen participation.
He called on eligible voters across the state to come out en masse on August 15 and vote for the Zenith Labour Party.
“Every vote for ZLP is a vote for a prosperous, peaceful, and progressive Osun State,” the governorship candidate assured.
