The Ogiyan of Ejigboland, Oba Omowonuola Oyeyode Oyesosin (JP, JP) has assured Governor Ademola Adeleke of massive support from the people of Ejigbo in the August 15 governorship election.
The monarch gave the assurance on Thursday while receiving the governor during the commissioning and inauguration of three road projects in Ejigbo.
Oba Oyesosin said the projects executed by the Adeleke administration addressed the priority needs of the people, expressing appreciation for the governor’s commitment to the development of the town.
He said the people of Ejigbo would reciprocate the gesture by giving the governor overwhelming support at the governorship poll and prayed for his victory and protection.
The royal father also expressed confidence that the Accord Party governorship candidate would secure a second term in office.
Earlier, Governor Adeleke reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to completing the Ejigbo-Iwo Road and implementing the newly approved health and other development projects in the area.
The governor thanked the traditional ruler, chiefs, political leaders and residents of Ejigbo for their support, assuring them that his administration would continue to deliver projects across the state.
He said his government had completed several projects while initiating and delivering new ones in different sectors of the state’s economy.
Also speaking, the Head of Media and Publicity of the Adeleke Campaign Council, Rep. Bamidele Salam, conveyed the appreciation of the people of Ejigbo to the governor for the numerous projects executed in the area over the past four years.
Salam highlighted completed health and school rehabilitation projects and listed newly approved projects, which drew applause from residents at the event.
The event was well attended by the Deputy Governor, Kola Adewusi; Chairman of the Imole Campaign Council, Lere Oyewumi, and Dupe Adeleke-Sanni, among others.
