Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has ordered the immediate arrest of all those involved in the killing of Mr Ajagungbade Emir in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Ajagungbade Emir was reportedly shot dead on Sunday by suspected hoodlums during a dispute over the control of a garage in the ancient city.
The governor also directed the immediate vacation of motor parks by warring groups and ordered the reintroduction of the Park Management System across the state.
Adeleke gave the directives in a statement issued on Sunday by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, in reaction to the killing, which allegedly resulted from a tussle over the leadership of a park.
The governor directed the Commissioner of Police in the state to immediately arrest those involved in the incident, stressing that all culprits must be brought to book.
He also called for calm among residents and directed security agencies to restore normalcy across the motor parks and ensure the maintenance of law and order in the state.
Adeleke said there would be no sacred cows in the investigation, insisting that everyone found culpable would face the law.
The governor further announced plans to issue an Executive Order for the establishment of a Park Management System to manage motor parks and garages across the state.
He said the reintroduction of the system was aimed at restoring discipline and orderliness across the motor parks.
The governor urged residents to remain calm, assuring that security agencies had been directed to restore and sustain peace in all affected parks and areas.
