A coalition of graduates of the University of Ado-Ekiti (UNAD), now Ekiti State University (EKSU), who are of Osun State origin or currently reside in the state, has announced its endorsement of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebanji (AMBO), citing his proven record, leadership qualities, and distinction as one of the university’s notable graduates.
The group said its decision reflects both its confidence in AMBO’s record and the pride it shares in having a fellow graduate whose career and public service have distinguished him.
AMBO is a graduate of the University of Ado-Ekiti, where he earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA). His academic journey at UNAD/EKSU, the group said, represents an important part of the institution’s legacy of producing graduates who have gone on to make significant contributions in their various fields.
Speaking through its coordinator Rasheed Rasheed, (eksu alumni pro USA), Mr Oluwaseun D O (EKSU Alumni Osun state) and Akinpelu Akinwale, the endorsing graduates described AMBO as “one of our stars” and said his accomplishments provide a source of pride for fellow graduates of the institution.
“We are proud to identify with AMBO not merely because he is a fellow graduate, but because of what he has accomplished. His journey demonstrates the quality, resilience and leadership that our institution has produced over the years.”
According to the group, its members have followed AMBO’s professional and public journey and believe that his record provides a credible basis for their decision to endorse him.
The group said its support is therefore rooted in record, character, leadership and shared institutional heritage, rather than simply in sentiment or university affiliation.
For graduates living in Osun and those whose roots are in the state, the group said the endorsement carries a particular significance.
Many of its members have built their careers, businesses, families and communities in Osun State. Their decision to come together, they said, reflects their desire to participate actively in the political and civic affairs of the state while also recognizing a fellow graduate whose accomplishments they believe deserve acknowledgment and support.
“We are graduates of the same institution. We know the pride that comes with seeing one of our own rise through education, professional achievement and public service. AMBO represents that journey for us, and we believe his record deserves our recognition, support and eventual vote come Satursay August 15th 2026.
The group emphasized that its members are acting as individual graduates united by a common conviction and shared university
“When one of our graduates distinguishes himself, it is a moment of pride for all of us. We believe AMBO is one of those graduates whose journey reflects positively on the institution we all call our alma mater.”»
The group therefore calls on other graduates who share this connection to take note of the initiative and vote for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress come Saturday.
