Nigerian businessman and social commentator Isaac Fayose faced online criticism from Obidients – the avid supporters of Labour Party leader Peter Obi, after sharing details of his recent meeting with Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, in Abuja.
Following the encounter, Fayose posted a photograph on his Instagram page expressing his admiration for the younger Tinubu.
In the caption, he revealed that they shared a prayer for both Seyi and the President. Despite the friendly gathering, Fayose explicitly stated that his political allegiance and vote remained with Peter Obi.
The post immediately drew fierce backlash from Obi’s loyal fanbase, who accused the businessman of compromising his political stance by associating with the first family.
Responding to the criticism in a follow-up video on Instagram this morning, an aggrieved Fayose heavily criticized his detractors. He questioned if Peter Obi had ever personally appreciated his costly campaign efforts.
Visibly angered by the specific attacks from the camp, Fayose concluded by hinting that he might completely withdraw his support for Obi and begin campaigning for President Tinubu instead.
