Veteran Yoruba actress, Idowu Philips, popularly known as Iya Rainbow, has dismissed the long-standing claim that late actor Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, popularly known as Baba Agbako, was the biological father of Fuji star Wasiu Alabi, also known as Pasuma.
Speaking in a recent interview, the actress described the rumour as false and explained how she believes it originated.
Iya Rainbow said Pasuma’s late mother was an actress in the Yoruba movie industry and worked under Baba Agbako, a situation she believes may have led to the misconception that the late actor was Pasuma’s biological father.
She stated that members of the Yoruba movie industry could attest to the fact that Pasuma’s mother was an actress who worked under Baba Agbako.
The actress added that Pasuma was already a grown young man before his mother introduced him to members of the entertainment industry.
According to her, when Pasuma became famous, he remained close to those who had a relationship with his late mother and never abandoned them.
Iya Rainbow described the Fuji singer as a good son and prayed for him to enjoy long life, good health and sound mind. She also expressed her love for him and prayed for God’s abundant blessings upon his life.
The veteran actress further praised Pasuma for remaining close to people who shared a relationship with his late mother.
She said the Fuji singer has continued to show respect and loyalty to those who were part of his mother’s life, adding that he has not forgotten them despite his success.
