A final-year National Diploma student of the Mass Communication Department at Kanmialo Interlink Polytechnic, Ijebu-Jesa, Osun State, identified as Adeife Oluwaseun, has reportedly died in a road accident while heading to a bank in Ilesa to pay the remaining balance of his school fees.
Eyewitnesses who spoke with Hope FM said the accident involved a Toyota bus with registration number FST-644YL, Lagos, and a motorcycle being ridden by the deceased student.
Sources disclosed that some students were allegedly prevented from entering the examination hall after failing to provide evidence of full payment for the examination.
It was further gathered that Oluwaseun rushed out to make the payment in an attempt to meet up with the first examination paper when the fatal accident occurred.
The incident has thrown students of the institution into mourning, with many describing the deceased as a promising and dedicated student whose death came as a rude shock to the school community and the Mass Communication Department.
Friends, coursemates and colleagues of the deceased also expressed grief over the development and sympathised with his parents, family members and loved ones during the difficult period.
Addressing protesting students after the incident, The Elegboro of Ijebu-Jesa, Oba Moses Agunsoye appealed for calm, assuring them that security agencies were already handling the matter and that justice would be served.
All efforts to get the management’s reaction proved abortive as of press time.

Is interlink polytechnic outside osun state?
The police operative in ijebu jesa resorted to using tear-gas because some of the aggrieved students were on the verge of setting the black hummer bus on fire. The tires of the bus were already deflated, windscreens broken and petrol poured on the black hummer bus by the aggrieved students. The police had to toll the bus and the condemned lady bike the deceased student used before his untimely death. The pot holes in ijebu jesa roads is too much. The government need to do better by fixing them promptly
