Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has said the 2027 general election will be his final attempt at contesting for the presidency.
Atiku made this known on Wednesday during an interview on Arise Television, where he spoke about his political future and ambitions.
He stated that the 2027 election represents his last opportunity to pursue the office, noting that the stakes are significantly higher for him.
The former vice-president emphasised that he views the election as his final shot at the presidency, having made several attempts in the past.
Reports indicate that Atiku has contested the presidential election multiple times without success.
He was also the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections.
