The 2027 presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has claimed that he has evidence that President Bola Tinubu is 90 years old.
Atiku made the claim in an interview with the BBC published on Friday, saying he would present the evidence in court if necessary.
The former Vice President also defended his repeated attempts to become President, citing his opposition to military rule and previous disqualifications as reasons for his continued participation in presidential contests.
He stressed his constitutional right to contest and expressed his readiness to serve Nigeria, citing his experience, competence and patriotism as qualifications for the presidency.
Atiku also attributed Nigeria’s insecurity to what he described as government irresponsibility, particularly in the areas of defence and policing, and promised to address the challenges within one year if elected.
The ADC presidential candidate said he considered himself healthy and capable of serving the country, contrasting his condition with his claim about Tinubu’s age.
He said he had evidence to support his claim about Tinubu’s age and would present it before a court if required.
