The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, CDCFIB, has given an update on its ongoing recruitment exercise for Nigeria’s four paramilitary services.
In a statement issued by its Secretary, Maj-Gen AM Jibril (retd.), on Friday, the Board said the recruitment exercise would be completed within the next four weeks.
The announcement comes amid growing anticipation among applicants awaiting the conclusion of the recruitment process.
The Board said it was aware of the “tremendous amount of anticipation” surrounding the exercise, noting that the large number of applications received nationwide had placed a responsibility on it to ensure a fair and transparent selection process.
It said the recruitment process had reached its final stages but would not be rushed at the expense of due process.
According to the Board, the final stages of the exercise would be completed within four weeks, after which successful candidates would be notified through the official recruitment platform.
The Board said the process would be concluded in line with the principles of justice, merit, federal character, due process and the operational requirements of the four services.
It added that candidates would be informed through the official recruitment platform once the process was completed.
