A lifeless body has reportedly been found at Ayetoro Junction in Osogbo, Osun State, with the body said to have remained at the location for more than 24 hours.
The development was reported by Osun-based online platform, Inside Osogbo, in a post on Facebook, which called for the immediate intervention of relevant authorities.
The platform appealed to the Osun State Police Command, Osun State Government, Ministry of Health, Osun State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), local government authorities and other relevant agencies to respond to the situation.
It raised concerns over the presence of the body in the public area, particularly the potential health, safety and psychological implications for residents, commuters and business owners around the junction.
Inside Osogbo also stressed the need for the deceased to be treated with dignity, urging the authorities to promptly evacuate the body and take necessary steps to establish the identity of the deceased.
The platform called for swift action to prevent further distress among residents and ensure appropriate handling of the remains.
