Veteran gospel singer and evangelist, Evangelist Dr. Bola Are, has called on Christians in Nigeria and abroad to embark on a three-day prayer session for the country over rising insecurity and economic hardship.
The cleric made the appeal in a video shared on her Instagram page, saying the instruction was a divine message aimed at seeking God’s intervention for Nigeria.
According to her, the prayer programme is scheduled to hold on June 1, 2 and 3, with participants expected to pray daily between 3pm and 6pm.
Bola Are said the prayer sessions are intended to seek healing, peace and restoration for the country, stressing that Nigerians must unite spiritually during the difficult period.
She referenced 2 Chronicles 7:14, noting that those who participate in the prayers would prosper, while urging Christians to seek God’s mercy over the nation.
The evangelist further disclosed that the message was delivered to her through a farmer from Iseyin, whom she said was sent by God to relay the instruction concerning Nigeria.
She added that the prayer directive is not restricted to individuals alone but extends to church leaders, pastors, evangelists, bishops, archbishops, prophets and all Christian denominations across the country.
Bola Are also appealed to Christian bodies, including the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, to mobilise members for the prayer programme.
She stressed that the exercise should promote unity among Christians, insisting that the call was not about denomination but collective intercession for Nigeria.
The gospel minister, however, advised that there should be no night vigils during the three-day programme, maintaining that prayers should only hold within the stipulated afternoon period.
She said: “My name is Evangelist Dr Bola Are. God sent me to all Christians that are in Nigeria, both home and abroad, to pray between on the 1st, on the 2nd, and on the 3rd of June, quickly, that God should take control of Nigeria. And those people that does it we prosper. And that’s what 2 Chronicles chapter 7, verse 14 says.
“God sent a farmer to me all the way from Iseyin, sent to me that God said he should go and meet me for me to say that God wants all Christians, all planters of churches, all pastors, all evangelists, all prophetesses, all prophets, all archbishops, all bishops… That we should gather together between 1, 2, 3, on the 1st, on the 2nd, on the 3rd of June.”
“This is not matter of a denomination. Christian Association of Nigeria, the leader, the president, I’m telling you, God said we should pray for 3 good days. PFN and all denominations in Nigeria, in Christendom, should pray to God of creation.”
